Main Duties:

• Install, repair and replace built-up and
  single-ply roofs on residential and commercial buildings;

• To install sheet metal flashings

• Cover roofs and exterior walls with
  asphalt, slate, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum and other materials using
  hammers, brushes, knives and other suitable tools;

• Apply plastic coatings and membranes,
  fiberglass over sloped roofs before applying shingles;

• Alternating layers of hot asphalt or tar and roofing
  paper to roofs, in accordance to requirement;

• Inspect problems in roofs to determine
  best repair procedures;

•  Set up and erect scaffolding to
  provide easy and safe access to roofs and dismantle scaffolding when finished;

•  Smooth rough spots to prepare
  surfaces for waterproofing, using hammers, chisels, or rubbing bricks;

•  Spray roofs, sidings, and walls
  with material to bind, seal, insulate, or soundproof sections of structure;

• Clean and maintain all equipment;

•  To Install & repair
  metal roofs by using hand and power tools;

• Follow established safety rules and procedures;


• To apply gravel or pebbles over top layer;


• To perform other job duties as required;


• May need to estimate required materials and costs
